True that. I PvP so rarely it ain't even funny (usually when I need Lux faction) and I have nearly 5k racked up from just a handful of battles.

also, /tears-up-petition-and-lights-on-fire for calling pve players nubs. were not. we jsut enjoy a more relaxed game. its all prefrence. and pvp players never understand that, or are just insulting for the pure joy of it. if you fall into the 2nd group, go apply for myg0t.

for same reason above and my reasons below
Balthazar point is easily obtainable in RA and Alliance Battle :P
i think in GW2 PvP we should not have instant level 20 character for PvP, all players should go throught the leveling to arrive at the PvP arena by playing PvE

Lol, and any "pve noob" can get keys simply by randomly pulling guild names about in the Xunlai house, I had 20 keys just the other day by buying them with reward tokens from that.
So no,

Why would you want to remove a source of cash income from PVPers anyway?

What a massive nonsense! Disallow selling keys while still allowing to sell drops, where's logic? Nerfage of a system which works really fine? Pile of bs.
PvP players should have a freedom of how they want to cash in their rewards, and this is exactly what we got now. Selling keys is far simplier and 1000x faster than getting the drops and trying to sell them manually. There's no Auction House or anything like that to help players, that's why many decide just to sell keys.
The whole thing works very fine as it is now, I don't see any reasonable way to make it better. Definately no need for changing it into WORSE.

Customize? Why? The only people who buy the keys are idiots to think it's worth it. Just gives me a new way to make money, given loot scaling and all.

I fail to see the logic. The key is customized the item is not. Ok this forces the PvP character to open the chest. Hmmm, I kind of like your ideal, it means PvP noobs take all the risk. And what are PvP going to do with the lock picks, Tomes, rare skins, and junk items they get, sale them to the PvE community. Instead of pay 5k for a chance to get a lock pick I can pay 1.2k for a lock pick, and take no risk.

I am a "PVE NOOB" LOL, I got 10 keys for guessing at the Xunlai tourny house. Frankly, I get better drops while vanquishing, keep your keys. Build a pvp house out of your keys, and surround it with a moat of your tears.
This isn't to be taken to heart, just pointing out how silly the tc's suggestion is, that is all.

What he said.
If you want to totally separate PvE from PvP, then you also separate the use for weapons/alchohal.
Dumb thread, dumb idea, no point.
